Mary M. Newlin

Mary M. Newlin, 74, Depauw, died at 10:02 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, at Harrison Health and Rehabilitation Centre in Corydon.
A native of Milltown, born April 12, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Eulah Mae Baylor Pirtle.
She attended Marengo Wesleyan Church, and was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Survivors include two sons, Bernie Newlin of New Salisbury and Larry Newlin of Marengo; three daughters, Sharon Pate of Corydon, and Flora Mae Bye and Latricia Redden, both of Marengo; her former husband, Ted Newlin of Marengo, who cared for her; a brother, Russell Pirtle of Palmyra; six sisters, Betty Routh of Ramsey, Martha Karnes of Brandenburg, Shirley Seacat of Corydon, Carolyn Senn of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Brenda Coy of Indianapolis and Nancy Clemons of Floyds Knobs; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Jan. 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 9, after 9 a.m. at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo.
Funeral: Thursday, Jan. 9, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Union Chapel Cemetery in Milltown.
