Marlene J. Montgomery

Marlene J. Montgomery, 49, Taswell, died at 4:55 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at her home after an extended illness.
A native of Charleston, Ill., born April 28, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Ruby Swisher Davis.
She was a substitute teacher of the Crawford County schools and a former receptionist for the Dubois County REMC, and a member of Highfill Chapel General Baptist Church and Crawford County Hills and Wheels Car Club.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Jerry Montgomery; two sons, Chad Montgomery of Otwell and Nathan Montgomery of Taswell; two daughters, Austina Montgomery of Taswell and Hillary Satterfield of Marengo; three brothers, Terry Davis of Ashmore, Ill., Joe Davis of Mokena, Ill., and Art Davis of Prairieville, La.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, Jan. 2, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 3, after 8 a.m. at Denbo Funeral Home in English.
Funeral: Friday, Jan. 3, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in the Taswell Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. John Bye.
