Harold Walts

Harold Walts, 83, Georgetown, died Thursday, Dec. 12, at his home.
A native of Floyd County, born Nov. 9, 1919, he was the son of the late Shelby and Maggie Hottle Walts.
He was a painter at GE Appliance Park in Louisville, a heavy-equipment operator, a farmer and a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Georgetown.
Survivors include a son, Richard Walts of Louisville; two daughters, Bonnie Weathers of Georgetown and Judy L. Walts of Floyds Knobs; three brothers, Charles, Glenn and Donald Walts, all of Georgetown; five sisters, Mildred Massey of New Albany, Wanda Reinhardt of Lanesville, Martha Mayes of Las Vegas, Gladys Hughes of Idaho and Patty Lind of Lanesville; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Monday, Dec. 16, at Christ United Methodist Church in Georgetown with burial in Wolfe Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Judith Purvis.
Arrangements: Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Pallbearers: Travis Harritt, Jeff Weathers, Patrick Tucker, Greg Walts, Robert Briscoe and James Burden.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hospice of Southern Indiana or to his church.
