James L. Seacat

James L. Seacat, 64, Corydon, died Sunday, Nov. 24, at 6:11 p.m. at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
A native of Milltown, born May 8, 1938, he was the son of the late Robert and Dorothy Hanger Seacat.
He retired from Eli Lilly in Greenfield after 38 years, and was a 1956 graduate of Milltown High School and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Corydon.
Survivors include his wife, the former Shirley Pirtle; a son, James D. Seacat of Paragon; a daughter, Donna K. Smith of West Baden; a stepson, Mark Byrd of Clarksville; a stepdaughter, Debbie Byerly of Marengo; three brothers, Tommy Seacat of Lufoll, S.C., Robert Seacat of Trafalgar and Larry Seacat of Corydon; two sisters, Elizabeth (Libby) Brown of Bedford and Debra Huffman of Corydon; nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Visitation: Wednesday, Nov. 27, after 9 a.m. at Brown-Newkirk Funeral Home in Milltown.
Funeral: Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Forest Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
