Roger L. Brown

Roger Lynn (Downtown) Brown, 55, Ballwin, Mo., formerly of Corydon, died Oct. 17 at 6:01 p.m. at his home.
A native of New Albany, born July 23, 1947, he was the son of Avon and Marion Brown of New Albany.
He was a 1965 graduate of Corydon Central High School, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a graduate of St. Louis University, and a former manager at Bell Telephone Co., where he retired in April 2001. After coaching several softball teams, he formed the R&B Men’s Athletic Association.
Survivors besides his parents include his fiance, P.J. Harrison; a son, Erick Brown of St. Louis; a daughter, Erica Brown of St. Louis; a brother, Rick Brown of New Albany; a sister, Rosalyn Brown of New Albany; and a granddaughter.
The funeral and burial were private. Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin handled the arrangements.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Disabled American Veterans Association.
