Joel Garza, 59, Corydon, died Thursday, Oct. 10, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
A native of Rio Hondo, Texas, born Jan. 27, 1943, he was the son of the late Manuel B. and Sara Flores Garza. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Roberto Garza.
Survivors include two sons, Jordan Joel and Nathalian Lief Garza, both of Corydon; a daughter, Sara Jolene Garza of Freemont, Ohio; three brothers, Ezequiel Garza of Pasadena, Texas, Eduardo Garza of La Feria, Texas, and Manuel B. Garza Jr. of El Paso, Texas; seven sisters, Dina Sevayega of Albany, N.Y. Elana Groman of San Benito, Texas, Carolina Garza of Tucson, Jenna Lobb of Pasadena, Texas, Zielpa Krothe of Austin, Texas, Drucilla Currin of Pasadena and Tammy Ingram of South Bend; and a granddaughter.
A private service was held. Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon handled the arrangements.
