Densil R. Vernon

Densil R. Vernon, 74, Louisville, formerly of Irvington, Ky., died Monday, Oct. 21, at Caritas Medical Center in Louisville.
A native of Marengo, born Oct. 6, 1928, he was the son of the late William Elwood and Roma F. Paschall Vernon.
He retired from the old Olin Chemical Co. in Brandenburg, and was a Navy veteran, and member of Parkwood United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Peggy L. Ferguson; two sons, Randy L. Vernon of Williamsburg, Ky., and Mark S. Vernon of Louisville; a daughter, Jan Liston of Louisville; three sisters, Joy Stephenson of Leavenworth, Doris Curts of Marengo and Floris Seabrook of New Albany; and four grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home in Louisville.
Funeral: Thursday, Oct. 24, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Mothers Against Drunk Drivers.
