Margaret E. Purcell, 84, Leavenworth, died at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Harrison County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
A native of Indianapolis, born Feb. 1, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Florence Bessel Williamson.
She was a homemaker and a member of Alton Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Purcell, a son, Robert Purcell, a brother, two sisters, and two grandchildren.
Survivors include three sons, Paul Purcell of Freedom, Michael Purcell of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Donald Purcell of Leavenworth; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, Oct. 10, from 2 to 9 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 11, after 9 a.m. at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo.
Funeral: Friday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Flower Point Cemetery in Alton.
