Helen G. Beeman

Helen G. Mosier Beeman, 80, Greenwood, formerly of Indianapolis, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Greenwood Village South Pavilion.
A native of Harrison County, born April 22, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Edward H. Sr. and Mayme McGradie Mosier.
She was a 1939 graduate of Morgan Township High School, a 1942 graduate of Saints Mary and Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in Louisville, and attended the University of Indianapolis from 1943 to 1946. She was a former school nurse at the University of Louisville, a registered nurse at University Heights Hospital for 26 years before retiring in 1988, and formerly worked for several doctors’ offices in Indianapolis.
She was a member of University Heights United Methodist Church, State College Board of College Nurses, Indiana State Nurses Association and American Nurses Association for 35 years, and was in charge of the infant nursery at church for 22 years as well as part of the women’s circles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer E. Beeman, and two brothers, Kenneth and Cecil Mosier.
Survivors include a son, Donald P. Beeman of Chalfont, Pa.; a brother, Edward H. Mosier Jr. of Georgetown; and two grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, Oct. 5, at University Heights UMC with burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
