Trent Walker Anderson
Trent Walker Anderson, 39, of Elizabeth, died Monday morning, Sept. 23, from massive head and chest injuries in a single-vehicle crash, according to Harrison County Coroner Chad Cesar.
Anderson was driving west on the Elizabeth-New Middletown Road when his Plymouth van went off the north side of the road about 1/2 mile west of Black Chapel Road, said a news release from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Dept.
Anderson’s van went into a ditch and hit a utility pole on the driver’s side door about 12:20 a.m.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, police said.
Anderson was a native of Medina, Ohio, born June 4, 1963, the son of James and Brenda J. Gaines Anderson of Elizabeth.
He was a self-employed drywaller.
Survivors besides his parents include two sons, Michael A. and Jeremy E. Anderson, both of Charlestown; three daughters, Meliss A. Anderson of Charlestown, and Destiny C. White and Kimberly M. Anderson, both of Clarksville; a brother, J. Keith Anderson of Louisville; a sister, Krysta R. Anderson of Jeffersonville; a grandfather, John F. Hoppes of Jeffersonville, and a great-grandmother, Alice Hoppes of Louisville.
Visitation: Wednesday, Sept. 25, after 9 a.m. at E.M. Coots Funeral Home in Jeffersonville.
Funeral: Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery.
