Paul E. Poe

Paul E. Poe, 76, Paoli, died at 2 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at Washington County Memorial Hospital.
A native of Milltown, born Jan. 1, 1926, he was the son of the late Nolan H. and Bertha Mae Crandall Poe.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a self-employed dairy farmer, and a member of Indiana Fraternal Order of Police, Indiana Association of Conservationists, Livonia Conservation Club, American Legion Post 0195 of Campbellsburg and Millersburg General Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Davis, a brother, Donald Poe, and a grandson.
Survivors include his wife, the former Sudie McBride; three sons, Perry Poe of Campbellsburg, Andy Dunwoody of Mitchell and Darrell Wilson of Millersburg; two daughters, Becky Holt of Brownsville, Ky., and Sandra Tolbert of Circleville, Ohio; two brothers, Dallas and Russell Poe, both of Marengo; two sisters, Wanda Conrad of Marengo and Catherine Summer of Paoli; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, Sept. 21, at McAdams Mortuary in Paoli with burial in Stampers Creek Cemetery.
Officiant: Brother Ottis Crowder.
