Hilda M. Voelker

Hilda M. Geswein Voelker, 83, Lanesville, died at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Lanesville, born Oct. 25, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Clara Hubert Geswein.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville, Morganaires Senior Citizens Organization, St. Ann’s Society and St. Mary’s Quilters.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Voelker, and a sister, Anna Mae Geswein.
Survivors include her husband, Oscar C. Voelker; four sons Ken Voelker of Bloomingdale, Ill., Robert Voelker of Clarksville, and Dennis and Darrell Voelker, both of Lanesville; two daughters, Carolyn Voelker of Lanesville and Linda Hill of Platte City, Mo.; three brothers, Clem Geswein of Fowler, Elmer Geswein of Georgetown and Maurice Geswein of Lanesville; a sister, Marina Schellenberger of Lanesville; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Prayer service: Friday, Sept. 20, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, Sept. 21, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: Father Harold Ripperger.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Diabetes Association.
Pallbearers: Matthew, David, Joe and Eric Voelker, Doug Lindstrom, Keith Kuligowski, Curt Johnson and Jeff Schreiber.
