William A. (Art) Redden, 77, St. Petersburg, Fla., died Sept. 3 in St. Petersburg.
A native of New Amsterdam, born Feb. 22, 1925, he was the son of the late Albert and Ona Funk Redden.
He was a navy veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Redden, a brother, Charles Redden, and a sister, Catherine Trobaugh.
Survivors include three sons, William E. and Michael Redden, both of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Steve Redden of St. Petersburg; a brother, Kenneth Redden of Jeffersonville; four sisters, Margaret Hulette of Ellenton, Fla., Marilyn Skaggs of New Albany, and Dottie Ireland and Susie Wernert, both of Corydon; and seven grandchildren.
The body was cremated. The National Cremation Society in St. Petersburg handled the arrangements.
