Paul R. Tower

Paul R. Tower, 69, died at 4:20 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at University of Louisville Hospital.
A native of Leavenworth, born July 3, 1933, he was the son of the late Claude D. and Edna Stephenson Tower.
He retired from Tower Orchard, where he was a businessman and farmer. He was an Army veteran, a member of Leavenworth Community Presbyterian Church, Posy Lodge 380 F & AM at Leavenworth, and he served as past president of the Crawford County Council for eight years.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, the former Norma Adams; three sons, Brett Tower of Merritt Island, Fla., Paul G. Tower of Leavenworth and Chris Tower of Indianapolis; a brother, John Tower of Leavenworth; four sisters, Dorothy Ewing of Michigan City, Margaret Booth and Helen Ridge, both of Leavenworth, and Ruth Reschar of Valmetto, Fla.; and five granddaughters.
The funeral was Monday at Leavenworth Community Presbyterian Church with burial in Leavenworth Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The Rev. Mark McDaniels officiated. Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo handled the arrangements.
The family suggests memorial gifts to his church.
