David E. Lloyd
David E. Lloyd, 74, Troy, died at 8:20 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City.
A native of Cannelton, born May 3, 1928, he was the son of the late Strother and Nettie Milburn Lloyd.
He retired in 1993 as a manager at Daystop Motel, and was a former employee of General Electric, both in Tell City.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Cleta Sibrel, a sister, Anna Frank, and a brother, Junior Jay Lloyd.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald Lloyd of Tell City and Daniel Lloyd of Taswell; two daughters, Nancy Wheeler of Phoenix and Janice Songer of Dale; three stepsons, Charles Simpson Jr. of Tell City, Gregory Simpson of Cannelton and Robert Simpson of Troy; two stepdaughters, Victoria Watkins of Laconia and Marie McManaway of Tell City; four sisters, Evelyn Wheatley of Tell City, Dorothy Howell of Grandview, Helen Neff of Mesa, Ariz., and Carolyn Smith of Reynolds Station, Ky.; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Aug. 14, after 9 a.m. at Huber Funeral Home in Tell City.
Funeral: Wedneday, Aug. 14, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
Officiant: Brother Russell Dazey.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Diabetes Association.
