Russell C. Yeager

Russell C. Yeager, 86, Corydon, died Monday, July 29, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
A native of Floyd County, born June 29, 1916, he was the son of the late Walter and Cora Gresham Yeager.
He retired as a distributor for Dri Gas and Therma Gas, and was a member of Pisgah Masonic Lodge, Royal Arch and Corydon Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Gleitz of Lanesville and Sandra Day of Elizabeth; two sisters, Rachel Gatewood of Louisville and Mary Johnson of Clarksville; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, July 31, from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 1, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with Masonic rites in the evening, and Friday, Aug. 2, after 8 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, Aug. 2, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Neal Kentch.
Pallbearers: Harlan Yeager, Donald Yeager, Lynn Gatewood, Larry Hauswald, Darryl Hauswald and Robert Boone.
Honorary pallbearers: Stanley Yeager, Roger Ashton, Owen Bussabarger and Tommy Johnson.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Diabetes Association.
