Verdeen Harmon

Verdeen Harmon, 86, of near Edwardsville, died Monday, July 15, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
A native of Milltown, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Esther Shafer Byerly. She was a member of Tunnel Hill Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, William C. Harmon; a son, William Harmon of Fallon, Nev.; two daughters, Cara Kochert of Greenville and Brenda Eskelson of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Charles Byerly of Algonac, Mich.; two sisters, Mary Quebbeman of Lanesville and Agnes Rupp of Willow Springs, N.C.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, July 17, from 3 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, July 18, after 8 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Funeral: Thursday, July 18, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Wolfes Cemetery. Officiants: The Revs. Roy McClain and Larry Potts.
Pallbearers: Scott and Derek Kochert, Doug Harriett, Rick and Tony Quebbeman, and Larry Payton.
