Faye E. Sturgeon

Faye Ealeen Sturgeon, 86, Huntingburg, died at 1:20 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at the Professional Care Rehabilitation Center in Dale.
A native of Marengo, born March 27, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Agnes Meriwether Toney.
She and her husband, the late Cledis D. Sturgeon, owned and operated the Curb-Ette Drive-in Restaurant in English during the 1960s and The Swap Shoppe in Huntingburg during the 1970s. She was a member of Huntingburg United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister, Elmer, Floyd and Nellie Naomi Toney, whom all died in infancy.
Survivors include two daughters, Vivian Petry of Huntingburg and Charlotte Henderson of Bushnell, Fla.; four grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren and nine stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral: Friday, July 5, at Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial in Marengo Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Fred Haywood.
