Robert E. Burns

Robert E. (Bob) Burns, 71, Floyds Knobs, died Monday, July 1, at University of Louisville Hospital.
He was a native of Lamb, a retired semi-truck driver for the old Matlack Tank Lines in Louisville, an Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Masonic Lodge 40 in Jeffersonville and Sellersburg Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, the former Carolyn Henderson; three sons, John Allen Burns of Vernon, Conn., Robert Edward Burns Jr. of Floyds Knobs and Timothy Ray Burns of Clarksville; two daughters, Darlene Ann Allen of Clarksville and Cledis Virginia Payton of Jeffersonville; two brothers, Kenneth Burns of Carrolton, Ky., and David Burns of Scottsburg; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, July 4, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Garr Funeral Service in Sellersburg and Friday, July 5, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Sellersburg Church of Christ.
Funeral: Friday at 11 a.m. at Sellersburg Church of Christ.
