Stanley E. Baxley

Stanley E. Baxley, 86, Ferdinand, died Wednesday, May 29, at 9:50 a.m. at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand.
A native of Corydon, born Jan. 13, 1916, he was the son of the late Dee and Vada Cunningham Baxley. He was a member of National Rifle Association.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald, Claude and Walter Baxley, and a grandson.
Survivors include two sons, Steve and Don Baxley, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Barbara Dowling of Hot Springs, N.C., Linda Williamson of Columbus and Deborah Carpenter of Batavia, Ohio; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The funeral was Saturday, June 1, at Beanblossom Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand handled the arrangements.
