John W. Farnsley

John W. (Bill) Farnsley, 77, Corydon, died Thursday, May 30, at Harrison Health and Rehabilitation Centre in Corydon.
A native of Central Barren, born Feb. 10, 1925, he was the son of the late Leo Wesley and Mary Jane Wagner Farnsley.
He was a self-employed automotive paint and body technician and an Air Force veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Hazel Marie Buress.
Survivors include four sons, Bill Farnsley of Jeffersonville, Doug Farnsley of Palmyra, Larry Farnsley of New Albany and Joe Farnsley of Pekin; a daughter, Kathy Smith; a stepson, Louie Wimp of Corydon, who cared for him; three stepdaughters, Sandra Wimp and Debra Dove, both of Austin, Texas, and Linda Little of Clarksville; a sister, Margie Scalf of New Albany; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Sunday, June 2, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in Cook Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery in Austin, Texas.
