Rebecca A. Martinez

Rebecca Ann Martinez, 38, Greenville, died Monday, May 27, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
A native of Lanesville, she was the former Rebecca A. Widman. She was a peace time Marine Corps veteran, and a member of the Fern Creek (Ky.) Christian Church and the Korea Taekwondo Academy in New Albany.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia L. Bruederle Widman, and a sister, Laura K. Thompson.
Survivors include her husband, Jesse M. Martinez; two sons, Robert M. Martinez of Greenville and Aaron J. Widman of Louisville; a daughter, Jesie P. Martinez of Greenville; a stepson, Jared P. Martinez of Louisville; a stepdaughter, Jessica M. Martinez of Albany, Ga.; her father and stepmother, James R. and Martha A. Widman of Palmyra; a brother, David M. Widman of Bardstown, Ky.; two sisters, Delena L. Cunningham of Georgetown and Kathy McGee of Greenville; a stepbrother, Mikel Willard of New Albany; a stepsister, Kathy Mott of Depauw, and a grandmother, Georgia Bruederle of Louisville.
The funeral was Friday, May 31, at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey with burial in Horners Chapel Cemetery near Fredericksburg. The Rev. Todd Gile officiated.
