Clifford Rainbolt
Clifford W. Rainbolt, 87, Clarksville, died Friday, May 24, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
A native of New Amsterdam, he was born Jan. 27, 1915.
He was a retired operator from American Synthetic Co. in Louisville, an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Men’s Club.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Larue Rainbolt; a daughter, Barbara Gunther of Sellersburg; a brother, James Rainbolt of Clarksville; two sisters, Evaline Couie of Beaumont, Texas, and Violet Bryant of New Albany; two grandsons and a great-grandson.
The funeral was Monday, May 27, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany handled the arrangements.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hospice of Southern Indiana or his church.
