Phil R. Scharf Jr.

Phil R. Scharf Jr., 51, Floyds Knobs, died Thursday, May 16, at his home.
He was a native of New Albany, the son of Bob Sr. and Juanita Scharf of Floyds Knobs.
He was a soil conservationist for Harrison, Clark and Floyd counties, a graduate of Purdue University, and formerly attended Floyds Knobs Christian Church.
Survivors besides his parents include a sister, Jackie Scharf Mensing of Franklin.
The funeral was Monday, May 20, at Seabrook, Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Home on Oak Street in New Albany. Burial was in Graceland Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial gifts to his church’s building fund.
