Chester Hannon

Chester E. Hannon, 85, Zephyrhills, Fla., formerly of Palmyra, died Thursday, May 2, at Hospice In-Care in Dade City, Fla.
A native of Dayton, Ohio, born March 11, 1917, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Maude L. Eschbaugh Hannon.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Lions Club of Zephyrhills and Zephyr Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, the former Janie White, four sons, John, Jimmy, Jeffrey and Jerry Hannon, and two daughters, Jean Roy and Jodi Pulido.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharoln Wernert of Corydon, Janet Wetzel of Palmyra and Jo Ann First of Zephyrhills; 13 grandchildren, including John W. Hannon Jr., whom he reared, and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Monday, May 6, at Oakley Funeral Home in Dade City with burial in Floral Memory Gardens.
