Byron Boaz

Byron Boaz, 80, Fern Creek, Ky., formerly of Palmyra, died at 1:20 a.m. Monday, May 13, at Hill Creek Manor in Louisville.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired employee of International Harvester, where he worked as a night superintendent, and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, the former Virginia Walker; two daughters, Connee Underwood of Louisville and Julie Bowman of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a brother, Joe Boaz of Palmyra; a sister, Jeanette Uhl of Floyds Knobs; and a grandchild.
A memorial service was Thursday, May 16,at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra. The body was cremated with burial in Palmyra Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to charity of donor’s choice.
