Howard Herthel

Howard Herthel, 81, New Salisbury, died at 10 a.m. Friday, April 26, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
A native of Jeffers, Minn., he was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of United Methodist Church in Central Barren.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice Lorraine Herthel; a son, Granville Herthel of Palmyra; a daughter, Pat Oster of Crandall; four sisters, Geneva Anderson of St. James, Lillian Miller of Clarksville, Joyce Jones of Mauckport and Marie Baylor of Corydon; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Monday, April 29, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra with burial in Palmyra Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Hospice of Southern Indiana.
