Noel E. Jacobs

Noel E. Jacobs, 77, Corydon, died Thursday, April 25, at Norton Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Mauckport, born March 31, 1925, he was the son of the late Strother A. and Nancy Applegate Jacobs.
He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Mauckport, VFW Post 2950 in Corydon and Harrison County Farm Bureau. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a Disabled American Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, the former Angie Roselean Lawrence; two sons, Eldon Noel Jacobs of Tallahassee, Fla., and Douglas E. Jacobs of Lanesville; two daughters, Diana Kay Lasley of Corydon and Delores Faye Wilson of Louisville; six brothers, Carl R. and Adrian A. Jacobs, both of Mauckport, Earl C. Jacobs of West Point, Ky., Darrell R. Jacobs of Elizabeth, Wayne K. Jacobs of New Albany and John F. Jacobs of Borden; two sisters, Rozella McKim of Laconia and Wanda F. Coe of New Albany; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Saturday, April 27, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Mauckport. The Rev. Paul Greer officiated.
Pallbearers were Clinton, Nicholas and Seth Jacobs, Charles Kendrick, Chester Lopp, Troy Lasley, Ronnie Faith and Gary Lawrence.
The family suggests memorial gifts to his church.
