Wanita Corbett

Wanita M. Corbett, 66, Eckerty, died at 9:44 p.m. Friday, April 5, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
A native of English, born April 27, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Mabel Bail Sherron.
She was a retired cook for the Patoka School District for 25 years, and a member of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary at Jasper.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Albernia Colvin and Faye Merritt, and two brothers, James and Ralph Sherron.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Clisten Corbett; three sons, Larry, William and Cliston (Chop) Corbett, all of Eckerty; two daughters, Debra Armstrong of Sulphur and Tara McCreey of Milltown; a brother, Leo Sherron of Paoli; a sister, Betty Colvin of Utica; and 12 grandchildren.
The funeral was Tuesday, April 9, at Denbo Funeral Home in English with burial in Mathis Chapel Cemetery. The Revs. Albert Madden and John Bye officiated.
Pallbearers were Greg Armstrong, Jason Corbett, Matthew Corbett, Allen Hughes, Gary Main Jr., Rusty Sherron and Mike Sherron.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Disabled American Veterans at Louisville.
