Jack D. Davis

Jack D. Davis, 93, Ramsey, died Friday, March 29, at University of Louisville Hospital.
A native of Ramsey, born Feb. 5, 1909, he was the son of the late Harvey W. and Iva M. McCullum Davis.
He was a retired engine operator for Mid-Valley Pipeline Co. in Benton, La.; a Navy veteran of World War II; and a member of Unity Chapel United Methodist Church, Ramsey-Spencer Grange 2215 and Brooklyn Masonic Lodge 471 F&AM for 70-plus years.
Survivors include his wife, the former Beulah Robb; a son, Scott H. Davis of LeCenter, Wash.; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Miller of Georgetown; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Monday, April 1, at Unity Chapel UMC with burial in Woods Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. D. Scott Johnson officiated. Mary Lynn Atherton was organist, and Willa May Schmidt was vocalist.
Masonic Rites were performed Sunday, March 31, at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Pallbearers were Robert Davis, Scott Davis, Jerol Miller, Melvin Wernert, Keith Davis, Earl Survant and Tim Davis.
The family suggests memorial gifts to his church.
