Elizabeth E. Brown, 83, Elizabeth, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Memorial Hospital in Seymour.
A native of Geneva, Neb., born April 26, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Winifred Johns Lemmon.
She was a homemaker, a seamstress, a columnist for The Corydon Democrat (1963 to 2001) and the Seymour Tribune for 33 years. She was a member of Elizabeth United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Elizabeth Homemakers Club and the Democratic Precinct Committee.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Lee Brown of Seymour and Stanley Wayne Brown of New Albany; two sisters, Darlene Metzger of Rochester and Mildred Cox of San Diego; and two granddaughters.
The funeral was Saturday, Feb. 16, at Elizabeth United Methodist Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Stephen Spencer officiated. Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon handled the arrangements.
Pallbearers were Marvin Summers, David Stewart, Don Metzger, Elston Sayers, Ed Sayers and Robert Metzger.
