Rev. Ronald Ater Sr.

The Rev. Ronald Ater Sr., 53, Georgetown, died Sunday, Feb. 10, at 2:25 a.m. at Washington County Memorial Hospital in Salem.
He was a native of Louisville; an employee of General Electric in Louisville; and a member of Victory Lighthouse Church in New Albany.
Survivors include his wife, the former Della Rissie; a son, Ronald Ater Jr. of Hardinsburg; three daughters, Karen Ater and Veronica Walton, both of Hardinsburg, and Jody Ater of Charlestown; two stepsons, Patrick Velotta Jr. of Bellvue, Wash., and Michael Velotta of Germany; his mother, Myrtle Ater of Corydon; two brothers, David Ater of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., and Tony Ater of Hardinsburg; six sisters, Margaret Wilson of Brownsville, Ky., Barbara Corn of Rego, Diana Lynn Pruitt and Debra Sue Moore, both of Hardinsburg, Wanda Shawler of Depauw and Ella Mae Barker of Corydon; and eight grandchildren.
The funeral was Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra with burial in Kays Chapel Cemetery near Fredericksburg.
