Oma J. Vest

Oma Jean Mitchell Vest, 67, Louisville, died Sunday, Feb. 3, at Norton Audubon In-Patient Unit in Louisville.
A native of Louisville, born April 8, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Lucille Cain Mitchell.
She attended Mid-Way College and was an alumni of Ormsby Village and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur Vest Sr.; four sons, Arthur Vest Jr. of Hammond, La., Robert Vest of Taylorsville, Ky., John Vest of Sellersburg and Patrick Vest of Louisville; three daughters, Jeanne Gregory and Carla Patton, both of Louisville, and Gail Ferrell of Milltown; two brothers, Butch and John Mitchell, both of Louisville; a sister, Bobbie Truman of Louisville; two stepsisters, Charlotte Mitchell and Annie Philbean, both of Louisville; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Neurath & Underwood Funeral Home in Louisville with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
