Geneva K. Heinzelman

Geneva Katherine Burnett Heinzelman, 81, Wolcott, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 11:25 a.m. at Twin Lakes Village in Monticello.
A native of New Salisbury, born March 19, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Cora Montgomery Burnett.
She was a 1937 graduate of New Salem High School, an employee of Tri-County School Corp. for nine years, a former employee of Indiana Ribbon, and a member of Palestine Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Basil Speer, five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband, John Heinzelman; a son, Michael Speer of Baytown, Texas; a daughter, Joan Speer Hibbitt of Mellott; two stepsons, Jack Heinzelman of Burlington and Russell Heinzelman of Black Hawk, S.D.; a stepdaughter, Mary Lou Longster of West Lafayette; four brothers, Fred, Don and Paul Burnett, all of New Salisbury, and Raymond Burnett of Monticello; two sisters, Betty Hearson of Nashville, Tenn., and Wilma Simons of Albuquerque, N.M.; five grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The funeral was Friday, Jan. 25, at Palestine Christian Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Revs. Dan Tanner and Paul Burnett officiated. Foster Funeral Home in Wolcott handled the arrangements.
