Harold Ray Murphy, 66, Lansing, Ill., died Jan. 19 at the home of his daughter in Lansing.
A native of Berea, Ky., born Aug. 26, 1935, he was the son of the late John Elmer and Edna Hendricks Murphy.
He was a diesel mechanic for Artim Transportation in Hammond, and a member of Palmer Park Baptist Church in Frankfort, Ill.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Paul and James Murphy, and a sister, Elsie Jarvis.
Survivors include two sons, Randall R. Murphy of Crete, Ill., and Richard L. Murphy of Demott; two daughters, Anita R. and Rosanne Parker, both of Lansing; four brothers, Curtis Murphy of Milltown, Delbert Murphy of Marengo, Jerry Murphy of Paoli and Terry Murphy of Indiana; a sister, Shirley Mosier of Navilleton; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Tuesday, Jan. 22, at McAdams Mortuary in Paoli with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hardinsburg. Brothers David and Rex Manship officiated.
