Charles Liebert

Charles L. (Charlie) Liebert, 81, Elizabeth, died Monday, Jan. 14, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
A native of Harrison County, born Feb. 1, 1920, he was the son of the late Walter E. and Pansy Evans Liebert.
He was a retired inspector for Ford Motor Co. in Louisville where he worked 36 years, a member of the Presbyterian Church, Pisgah Masonic Lodge F&AM, and the Elizabeth Volunteer Fire Dept. for more than 40 years. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, the former Jane Kron; two sons, Larry Liebert and Bob Crosier, both of Elizabeth; a brother, Sidney Liebert of New Albany; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Masonic rites were performed Wednesday, Jan. 16, by Pisgah Masonic Lodge.
The funeral was Thursday, Jan. 17, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth. Military rites were performed at the gravesite by Hornickel Post American Legion.
Pallbearers were Mick and Pat Crosier, Kevin and Shaun Liebert, Craig Evans and Larry Day.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Elizabeth VFD.
