Lorine Peay

Lorine Maskie Peay, 77, Floyds Knobs, died Monday, Dec. 10, at the Robert E. Lee Retirement Inn in New Albany.
She was a founder and editor of the Knobs News, and was a writer for The Tribune in New Albany.
She was a member of the Floyds Knobs Community Club, Hobart Beach Post 1693 VFW Auxiliary, River City Post 42, and St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. She was also a charter member of Floyds Knobs Lions Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil A. Peay Sr.
Survivors include a son, Virgil Peay of Floyds Knobs; a brother, John H. Maskie Jr. of Montrose, Colo.; a sister, Loretta Aalsma of Bullard, Texas; a stepbrother, John Skogulund of Whittier, Calif.; a stepsister, Verlee Heinze of Valley City, N.D.; and three grandchildren.
The funeral was Thursday, Dec. 13, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany handled the arrangements.
