Woodrow S. Barnett, 81, Marengo, died at 7:40 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
A native of English, born March 29, 1920, he was the son of the late Steven P. and Charlotte M. Lincoln Barnett.
He was employed at Hoosier Panel Co., formerly of New Albany, for 35 years, and was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Valeene Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Barnett, and three half brothers, Sam, Irvin and Coy Barnett.
Survivors include his wife, the former Thelma Duke; four sons, Kenny Barnett of Bloomfield, Ronnie Barnett of Marengo, Gary Barnett of Paoli and Paul Barnett of Fredericksburg; three daughters, Charlotte Bowlin of Fredericksburg, and Jean McKnight and Cindy Bowles, both of Marengo; a brother, Thomas Barnett of Corydon; two sisters, Hazel Davis of Sellersburg and Margie Hawkins of Marengo; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Monday, Nov. 19, at Valeene Christian Church with burial in the church cemetery. Brother James McDonald officiated. McAdams Mortuary in Paoli handled the arrangements.
