Kenneth Shelton, 57, English, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 13, while hunting.
A native of Laurel County, Ky., born April 19, 1944, he was the son of the late Chester and Mary Sturgill Shelton. He was a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Perry Shelton, and a sister, Janie Shelton.
Survivors include his wife, the former Ellen A. Bowman; two sons, Rick D. and Kenny Ray Shelton, both of English; six daughters, Tammy Baxter of Paoli, Peggy Shelton of Kokomo, Allison Shelton of Jasper, Kimberly Knear of Elizabeth, Pamela Shelton of Marengo and Misty Wright of Leavenworth; three brothers, Denver, Eddie and Virgil Shelton, all of English; seven sisters, Ruby King of Mentor, Sue Mitchell of Taswell, Thelma Allen and Gail Bullington, both of English, Darlene Shelton and Emmaogene Henderson, both of Kentucky, and Ruth Turner of Sharpsville; and 15 grandchildren.
The funeral was Sunday, Nov. 18, at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo with burial in Bloom-Riddle Cemetery in Leavenworth.
