William Cavins

William (Bill) Cavins, 75, Corydon, died Monday, Oct. 22, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Morganfield, Ky., born Jan. 5, 1926, he was the son of the late James William and Lillie Mae Utley Cavins.
He was the former owner of Cavins Heating and Air Conditioning, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.
He was preceded in death by a son, Roy Cavins.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Jane Hutcheson; a daughter, Sandy Thomas of Elizabeth; a brother, John C. Cavins of Corydon; a sister, Louise Hilkey of Coral Ridge, Ky.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Thursday, Oct. 25, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Corydon. Brothers Larry Hensley and Larry Duley officiated. Jean Hess was organist.
Pallbearers were Mike, Jeremy, Kevin and Chris Willis.
