Stewart K. Wise

Stewart K. Wise, 72, New Salisbury, died Monday, Oct. 15, at Magnolia (Ark.) Hospital.
A native of Harrison County, born July 21, 1929, he was the son of the late Hubert D. and Sylvia Denbo Wise.
He retired from National City Corp. in Louisville and was a member of Pisgah Lodge 32 F & AM and RAM 156, both in Corydon. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John A. (Bud) Wise.
Survivors include his wife, the former Velda F. Byerley; two sons, Joel Aaron Wise of Georgetown and S. Matthew Wise of Corydon; a sister, Bette L. Zirnheld of Corydon; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The funeral was Sunday, Oct. 21, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in the Perseverance Chapel Cemetery near Corydon. The Rev. Gary Hart officiated. Graveside military rites were performed by the Hornickel Post American Legion.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Rudd Heart and Lung Center at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
