Warner House, 78, Palmyra, formerly of Middletown, Ill., died Friday, Sept. 21, at 3:35 a.m. at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon. He had been in declining health since a near-tragic tractor accident in 1974.
A native of Greenville, born July 8, 1923, he was the son of the late David and Blance House.
He was a farmer and an Army Air Force veteran of World War II, where he served as a sergeant with the 557th Army/Air Force Unit. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Martinsburg.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert House.
Survivors include his wife, the former Norma Losson; four daughters, Linda Rudolph and Sally Simpson, both of Corydon, Brenda Wells of Palmyra and Mary Marshall of Martinsburg; a brother, Charles House of Georgetown; a sister, Esther Hunt of Greenville; and six grandchildren.
The funeral was Sunday, Sept. 23, at the Church of Christ with burial in Martinsburg Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Salvation Army.
