Kathryn Totten

Kathryn E. (Bird) Totten, 87, Milltown, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Walnut Creek at Corydon.
A native of Depauw, born July 7, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Emerson and Mae Littell Bird.
She was a retired employee for the former Hoosier Cabinet Co. and Milltown Post Office, and a member of Marengo Christian Church. She was a past president of the Milltown Agape Circle and a past member of Hardinsburg Saddle Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Knofel Totten.
Survivors include a son, Hugh Totten of New Albany; four daughters, Edith I. Richards and Esther Byerley, both of New Salisbury, Ann Helfrich and Linda Shotter, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Friday, Sept. 14, at Marengo Christian Church with burial in Milltown Cemetery. The Rev. Bruce Hawkins officiated. Rebecca Sweeney was organist. Brown-Newkirk Funeral Home in Milltown handled the arrangements.
Pallbearers were Richard Edwards, Dan Hawkins, Jeff Helfrich, Michael Gallaher, Marquita Taylor and Donald Yeager.
