Frieda Mae McCreery, 67, Brandenburg, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, at University of Louisville Hospital.
A native of New Salisbury, born Feb. 2, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Paul R. and Irene Best Nash.
She was a former owner and operator of Hill Top Antiques and No Dip Stripping in Brandenburg. She was a member of Brandenburg United Methodist Church where she assisted with the nursery for several years. She also assisted with Raggedy Ann and Andy Day Care.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. McCreery, a daughter, Yvonne Faye McCreery, and a son, DeWayne W. McCreery.
Survivors include a son, James L. McCreery of Bedford; two daughters, Sandra M. Wood of Brandenburg and Yvette M. Smiley of Vine Grove, Ky.; a brother, L.C. Nash of New Salisbury; a sister, Doris Zink of Xenia, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Sunday, Sept. 2, at Brandenburg United Methodist Church with burial in Cap Anderson Cemetery. Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Pallbearers were Johnathan McCreery, Warren McCreery, Gary Zink, Kevin Nash, Tony Davis and Josh Hornsby.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Brandenburg UMC Building Fund.
