Irvin C. Gettelfinger

Irvin C. Gettelfinger, 71, Floyds Knobs, died Thursday, Aug. 2, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
He was a native of Bradford, a founder and retired executive of Gettelfinger Popcorn Co. Inc., and a member of Holy Family and St. Michael’s Catholic churches.
Survivors include his wife, the former Gerry Scott; two sons, Dr. Michael Gettelfinger of New Albany and Dale Gettelfinger of Floyds Knobs; six daughters, Sandy Libs, Lisa Heck and Jill Coan, all of Floyds Knobs, Marcia Bickers of Westerville, Ohio, and Jan Huber and Amy Huber, both of Starlight; four brothers, H. Carl and Howard Gettelfinger, both of New Albany, Herbert Gettelfinger of Bradford and Kenneth Gettelfinger of Portland, Ore.; 25 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A rosary service was held Sunday, Aug. 5, at Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany.
The funeral was Monday, Aug. 6, at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Bradford.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Floyd Memorial Foundation or St. Meinrad Archabbey.
