Delbert C. Pitman, 87, Ramsey, died Monday, July 30, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
A native of Harrison County, born Aug. 13, 1913, he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Vina E. Steairett Pitman. He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, the former Ethel Lucille Wiseman; a son, Roger W. Pitman of Ramsey; two daughters, Naomi R. Oppel of Ramsey and Judy A. Mothersbaugh of Newburg; and four grandchildren.
The funeral was Thursday, Aug. 2, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Brother Rick Utz officiated. Jean Hess was organist. Geraldine Baxley Watson and Alma King were vocalists.
Pallbearers were Brian and Carrie Oppel, Jason Mothersbaugh, Amy Greer, Mike and Kenneth Flock, Jim Toler and Sheldon Franks.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Fairveiw Cemetery.
