connector road

I do not understand why it is a foregone conclusion that a connector road is needed. I do not see the need. It will not help people living in the area at all since the road will be limited access. Route four will not even be going to the "new industrial center", but in the opposite direction. Harrison County will be taking private land and spending millions of public money, and for what?
I can note that only 19 people responded to the "Question of the Week". That is how much interest there is for a new road. The council needs to be more wise in spending. They voted 4 to 3, so they are not all convinced either.
