All proposals should be addressed to The Harrison County Board of Commissioners, in care of the Harrison County Auditor, Harrison County Government Center, Corydon, Indiana.  Said proposals shall be considered at the County Commissioners special meeting held at 6:00 p.m. local time on November 24, 2014.
The bid for this package should be sealed in a minimum size envelope of 9”x12” and shall bear the name of the bidder and the Bid Package number on the outside of the envelope.
All bidders must furnish with their bid a bid bond or certified check equal to 10% of the total bid payable to the Harrison County Board of Commissioners.  A combination bid/performance bond equal to 100% of the total price will be acceptable.
All bids shall be on the proposal form bound with the contract documents.
No bid may be withdrawn after the opening of the bids for a period of 90 days.

ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT

ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF HARRISON COUNTY, INDIANA THAT:
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners is the governing body of the County of Harrison in the State of Indiana, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with I.C. 36-1-3-6, a County may adopt an ordinance prescribing a specific manner for exercising a power, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with I.C. 9-21-5, a County may adopt a speed limit ordinance regulating speed to a safe driving level, and
WHEREAS, the Harrison County Commissioners have caused a traffic study to be made over and along Corydon Junction Road, and
WHEREAS, it is the duty of the Board of Commissioners of Harrison County to provide for the public safety of all citizens when traveling upon county roadways, and
WHEREAS, the Harrison County Commissioners have determined that it is in the best interest of the health, safety and general public traveling over and along Corydon Junction Road between Old State Road 64 and Lost Creek Road be regulated to a speed of thirty (30) miles per hour.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the governing body of Harrison County, Indiana that the maximum speed limit over and along Corydon Junction Road between Old State Road 64 and Lost Creek Road be regulated to a speed of thirty (30) miles per hour for all motor vehicles traveling along said roadway.
Violators of this Ordinance may be charged by a traffic summons issued by any police officer having traffic enforcement jurisdiction in the area and the county prosecuting attorney is authorized to prosecute the violation and the courts of Harrison County, Indiana having general traffic jurisdiction shall be empowered to process such charges as violations of law, as are all other speeding violations of the Indiana Code and like penalties shall be imposed.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This Ordinance shall become effective after passage by the Harrison County Commissioners and publication of this Ordinance as required by law.
ADOPTED by the Board of Commissioners of Harrison County, Indiana this 6th day of October, 2014.
