Picking up the program's first postseason win in four seasons, Lanesville put together a resounding victory over winless Rock Creek Academy last Tuesday.
Ten players reached the score book for the Lady Eagles, paced by Mahailey Hall's 15 points to land Lanesville the 73-8 win over Rock Creek in the Class A New Washington Sectional.
The Lady Lions, a program that has won two games during the last six seasons, failed to score in the opening quarter. In fact, the Lanesville defense held Rock Creek scoreless in the fourth quarter as well.
Lanesville opened the game with an 18-0 lead after one period of play led by Emily Davis, Hannah Walther and Annie Parsons scoring two field goals each.
The rout was on from start to finish.
Emma Zeller, Davis and Walther each scored 12 points for Lanesville. Erica Daly provided six points, while Elise Lawson chipped in five.
In all, the Lady Eagles nailed nine 3-pointers, led by four from Hall. Walther netted three, while Zeller had two.
Rock Creek was held to four field goals, paced by Catie Troncin's six points.
With the win, Lanesville advanced to face Borden in the semi-final.
