Corydon Central scored a pair of Mid-Southern Conference victories last week to improve to 4-3.
Last Wednesday, the Lady Panthers went on the road to knock off Austin, 54-42.
Austin led early in the contest, but Corydon Central would take a 29-27 edge at halftime. Thanks to outscoring the Lady Eagles 15-9 in the third quarter, the Lady Panthers would go on to take the victory.
Three players scored in double figures for Corydon Central, led by a 15-point and eight-rebound performance by Ashley Oliver. Aly Chambers knocked down all four of her 3-point attempts to tally 13 points. Marie Rothrock scored 10 points.
Leading the team in assists was Taylor Frederick with eight. She also had three rebounds. Reagan Mosley chipped in eight points and four rebounds.
Taking center stage Friday night, Corydon Central welcomed Salem to Corydon. The Lady Panthers led from the get-go and cruised to a 56-36 victory.
Rothrock tallied 17 points and had six rebounds and six steals. Chambers added nine points, while Chelsea John pitched in eight. Oliver paced the Lady Panthers in rebounds with eight, while Mosley had six boards.
Salem was forced into 23 turnovers, while the Lady Panthers shot 42 percent from the field.
Corydon Central improved to 2-2 in MSC play.
